About Us

We raise nutritious, flavorful pork, chicken, duck, turkey and eggs on our farm in Ripton, Vermont. Our animals are treated humanely and allowed to roam and forage. We also feed them organic grain, most of it locally grown in Shoreham.

You can buy our products at the farm (by appointment- Farm Stand hours to be posted soon) and we can also meet you or sometimes deliver to your home.

We attend Middlebury Farmers Market at the Marbleworks on Saturday mornings. During the summer, market runs from 9am to 12:30. Starting in November, the market is indoors in American Flatbread (also at the Marbleworks), from 9:30 – 1pm.

During the summer, we also attend Hinesburg Lions Farmers Market on Thursday afternoons from 3:30 – 7:00, June – September, located on Main St (Rte 116).

We will attend Bristol and Waitsfield Farmers Markets when we can, also Saturday mornings.

Meat with no hidden fees

Organic grain costs more up front than conventional grain but on the other hand you do not have to pay for synthetic pesticide, fertilizer and GMO contamination and health effects; topsoil sterilization and erosion, heavy petroleum use, and carbon emissions, which are all hidden costs of industrial farming.

Raising animals on a small farm, taking the time to keep them healthy, allowing them to range outdoors and do what nature intended, all take extra time and more space, but you do not have the pollution, the misuse of antibiotics (contributing to antibiotic resistant bacteria), mistreatment of animals, and the use of clones – all hidden costs of factory farmed meats.

Happy and healthy animals fed good nutritious food, living outdoors in the sunshine and fresh air, produce food with more health benefits and nutrition -and flavor!-  than factory-farmed meats.

Thank you for choosing sustainable family-farm raised foods!
